School Tennis Team Championships Most Valuable Player, Caroline Hedrick has already made a big impact at the collegiate level in her first two seasons. Hedrick, a junior at Butler University, has found her collegiate success close to home, just 50 miles north of her hometown. The three-time Indiana Singles State Finalist and 2008 Singles State Champion led her team to its first appearance in the state finals. Hedrick finished her high school career with a 103-3 overall record.
Hedrick opened her collegiate career with three straight victories. She didn't slow down from there finishing her freshman season with a 19-8
singles record, including a 7-1 record in Horizon League play at the No. 2 singles position. She had an individual double record of 13-12 and earned second team All-Horizon
League honors. As a sophomore Hedrick earned first team All-Horizon League honors finishing with the season with a 13-13 overall singles record including a 7-10 record at the No. 1 singles position. She also posted an also posted an 11-8 doubles record.
Hedrick has opened her junior season with a 5-1 singles record including a semi-final appearance at the Illinois State Invitational. She has a 3-2 doubles record and returns to action on October 18th in the ITA Regional at Purdue.
