STRING SENSATION NAMED OFFICIAL STRINGER

We are excited to announce that Mike Stephens and String Sensation will be the Official Stringer of the 2016 DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships presented by Icy Hot. Mike is a member of the United States Racquet Stringing Association, USRSA, the European Racquet Stringer’s Association, ERSA, and the International Alliance of Racquet Technicians, IART. He is certified as a Master Racquet Technician, MRT, through the USRSA. 

String Sensation excels in racquet service including stringing and customization. They have an extensive string inventory consisting of all types of string from over 20 different manufacturers.

Stringing Labor is $20 with competitive string pricing. 

String Sensation will be on-site at Champions Club during the tournament and will offer stringing, basic racquet customization, and grip replacement. On site stringing will be on a calibrated Babolat Star 5 machine. Players attending the Players Party on Thursday evening may also drop off their racquet to have it strung prior to tournament play.

DIANA STEVENSON PHOTOGRAPHY RETURNS IN 2016

Returning from last year, Diana Stevenson Photography will be onsite capturing the best action shots of every tennis player, team, and awards. Whether you want pictures for memories or for college marketing, we’ve got you covered! The pictures from last year were amazing, and the photography team is ready to do even better this year! Look for the photographers with the RED Tshirts!

Pre-Sales will be taken on Friday & Saturday at Champions Club only, and offer a generous discount. The products that will be offered for Pre-Sales are Team DVD’s and Digital Download(s). The Team DVD’s offer your team the best deal, as each player and coach will receive all portraits from both days of your team (hint…..split the cost by each player!).

Shortly after the tournament (allow 1-2 weeks), all pictures will be available for viewing and purchasing. The pictures will be available at the website, www.PhotosbyDSP.com. Look for the main folder, named Decoturf 2016. Pictures will be uploaded by team. Team DVD’s and digital downloads will still be available, however, they will be full price.

Also available are bag tags, buttons, coach’s gifts, plaques, albums and ala carte pictures at various sizes. We also do custom designs, so if don’t see what you want, please contact us!

Please be aware that any & all matches are subject to being videotaped!!

We’ll record as many match play videos AT CHAMPIONS CLUB during the main draw as possible. These matches will be available for purchase. IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MATCHES RECORDED & YOUR TEAM IS NOT PLAYING AT CHAMPIONS CLUB, contact us ASAP & we’ll do our best to accommodate on a first come/first served basis.

Six of our cameras are reserved for the main draw finals on Saturday at Champions Club at 3PM. If your team makes it to the finals, that match will be available for you to purchase

TEAM DEALS
ALL TOURNAMENT – SAMPLE VIDEO - $699
This deal goes to the first team that signs up for all dual matches (doubles & singles). We’ll reserve 6 cameras & follow that team throughout the entire tournament for $699. This equates to $175 per dual match (approximately $115 per player)

DUAL MATCH – SAMPLE VIDEO - $199
All other teams can sign up for $199 per dual match (approximately $30 per player) & if they are fortunate enough to get all four dual matches recorded, we’d honor the ALL TOURNAMENT DEAL of $699!!

INDIVIDUAL DEALS

Parents can request individual videos in advance or after the tournament is over.

2015 USTA SOUTHERN JUNIOR TOURNAMENT OF THE YEAR

The DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships was recently honored as the 2015 USTA Southern Jim Russell Junior Tournament of the Year. The award to presented to Tournament Director Brandon Feusner at the 2015 USTA Southern Awards Luncheon in Atlanta, GA this past weekend. The award is presented annually to the USTA-sanctioned junior tournament in the Southern Section that best demonstrates the USTA and USTA Southern Section standards of organizing and conducting a sanctioned junior event. This award is given in honor of the late "Big" Jim Russell, legendary ITA & USTA Head Referee and USTA Southern and South Carolina Tennis Association President. Russell served as thetournament referee for the NCAA Division I Men's Championships, ITA Men's All-American Championships and the USTA/ITA Indoor Intercollegiate Championships. He was inducted into the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame, USTA Southern Hall of Fame, and the ITA College Tennis Hall of Fame. Tom Jacobs, Managing Director of Administration and Business Affairs for USTA reflected on "Big Jim" saying "What he meant to college tennis is immeasurable. He understood what college tennis was all about--the passion, the competition, the student-athlete. He had an unbelievable talent for diffusing potentially volatile situations with his Southern charm and quick wit. I don’t think there was a person who ever left a conversation with Big Jim without a smile on their face." Tournament Director Brandon Feusner said "I hope that one day people will look back on myself and say some of the same things that they have said about Jim Russell. The impact that he had on the game is truly immeasurable. Our event is truly honored to be the first event to receive this honor since it was named in honor of Jim Russell." 

The USTA Southern award is the second honor for the DecoTurf High School Tennis Team Championships which was also awarded the 2015 USTA Tennessee Junior Tournament of the Year. The honor marks the first time that a tournament from Tennessee has been named USTA Southern Junior Tournament of the Year. "This is such an honor not only for our event, but for USTA Tennessee, the city of Chattanooga and the High School Tennis community."
